Karachi South District, established in 1972, serves as the economic backbone of Pakistan, housing the headquarters of numerous corporations, companies, and banks.
It encompasses key areas such as Saddar, Clifton, and Defence, and is home to significant landmarks including the Governor House, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Chief Minister House, Sindh Assembly, and the High Court. As of the 2023 census, the district’s population stands at approximately 2.3 million residents.
Karachi South comprise Saddar along with Clifton and Defence area. Karachi South is considered to be the most affluent area of the city.
