Established in 1972, District West is a significant administrative region within Karachi Division, Sindh, Pakistan. It encompasses areas such as Baldia Town, Orangi Town, and SITE Town, serving as a hub for industrial and residential activities. As of the 2017 census, the district’s population was approximately 3.9 million residents.

Located in the north-west part of Karachi Division. North border of is with Gadap Town of Malir District, East border of is with New Karachi Town & North Nazimabad Town of Nazimabad District, West border of is with Mauripur of Keamari District, south-west border is with Baldia Town of Kaeamari District, south-east border is with SITE Town of Keamari District.
